    TOPS News needs an Editor!

    Stay current and help other parents be informed too! Become an editor for the school's biweekly newsletter. The TOPS News editor works closely with other volunteers to compile and distribute TOPS News. Estimated time commitment is 2-4 hours every other week (Wed - Fri).     Join Our Annual TOPS Ice Cream Social This Sunday, 1:00 - 3:00 p.m.

    Catch up with fellow parents or meet new friends! Fun games for the kids with informational tables about after-school enrichment, Site Council and Friends of TOPS.     FLU SHOTS for our Students and Community! Oct 9th, 11:00-2:00 p.m.

    The Seattle School District, in partnership with the Seattle Visiting Nurse Association (SVNA), will host “flu shot clinic(s)” for our schools open to all District faculty, staff, students, and their families (4 years of age and older). Students under the age of 18 need a consent form (available at the clinic) signed by a parent or guardian. Bring your health insurance card to receive an immunization. (Almost all insurance plans are acceptable, except Cigna.) Uninsured students under 18 may receive a flu shot at no cost. Fee for uninsured adults is $30.00 (cash or check).     Topics Information Night - Tuesday, Oct 9th, 6:30-7:30 p.m. (TOPS Library)

    The Topics program sets TOPS apart by giving parents the opportunity to teach and share their skills and passions with our 1st-5th grade students. Come learn more about how Topics works and how to turn your awesome idea into a Topic lesson plan. Please RSVP by Oct 8th: TOPICS@topsk8.org

    TOPS Spirit Gear Available Now Until Oct 14th!

    Order your TOPS school spirit gear now! Adult and youth sizes available with many styles to choose from including pullovers, hoodies, t-shirts, and beanies.     Dine Out for TOPS - Oct 23rd, 4:00-7:00 p.m.

    Join our monthly Dine Outs to raise money for TOPS! First up - MAMMOTH on Tuesday, Oct 23rd from 4-7 p.m. Proceeds from beer, special cocktails, and 10% of food sales go to TOPS. Pumpkin painting for the kids with an ice cream sandwich giveaway! See you there and at Eastlake Bar & Grill Nov. 9th!

    TOPICS needs VOLUNTEERS!

    The first Topics day of the school year is Wednesday, Oct 24th, 12:10-2:00 p.m. We need YOU! (Parent leaders should sign-up no later than Wed Oct 10th.)

    Step 1: Commit to being a part of this unique program!
    Step 2: Decide what skill, interest or passion you want to share with our 1st-5th graders For inspiration, browse the Big List of Past Topics or talk to TOPICS Coordinator Kathy.
    Step 3: Create a lesson plan. Use our How To Teach a TOPIC Guide, look at sample lesson plans, or contact TOPICS Coordinator for tips and guidance.
    Step 4: Build community, educate, and have fun sharing your passion on TOPICS Day.

    Get Ready for Book Fair: November 5th-14th

    The Scholastic Book Fair is another great way to support our school! The fair will be in the library during lunch, before and after school. Consider helping by signing up for a work shift! More details coming soon.

    After-School Enrichment Classes
