    February 22: Last Day for Enrolling Incoming Kindergartners and New Students

    Any new student wanting to attend TOPS next year, must complete both the registration and the School Choice forms and submit between February 4- February 22.     February 27: RBG Movie Night - Rescheduled!

    TOPS Site Council invites 4th to 8th graders and their families to a viewing of RBG, the critically acclaimed documentary about Ruth Bader Ginsberg. Join us on Wednesday, February 27th in the TOPS Library! Pizza will be served at 6:15pm with the movie to follow at 6:30pm. This free event is sponsored by Friends of TOPS.

    March 4: Girls on the Run Starts - Spring Registration Open!

    Girls on the Run is a 10 week program for 3rd-8th grade girls culminating in a family friendly 5K run. Girls meet twice a week to run and to address topics such as self-esteem, positive relationships, and bullying. Register at https://www.gotrpugetsound.org/ Teams are limited to 15 girls.     March 5: Raising Mixed Race Kids: Multiracial Identity & Development Workshop

    The Montlake PTA has kindly invited TOPS parents to a workshop on Raising Mixed Race Kids: Multiracial Identity and Development” led by local author and blogger Sharon H. Chang. Space is limited so please be sure to register at http://bit.ly/montlakeevents.

    Last Chance to lead a TOPIC this year!!!

    Our last parent/teacher led Topics day is coming up Wed March 20, 12:10-2:00pm. Do you have a skill, passion, craft or experience you'd like to explore with a small group of 1st-5th grade TOPS students? Bread making, computer coding, line dancing, finger knitting...so many fun things to do and learn. To get involved, please contact Topics coordinator Kathy no later than March 6th at topics@topsk8.org.

    March 8: Request For Funding Proposals (RFPs) from Friends of TOPS Deadline

    Friends of TOPS, the fundraising arm of Site Council, requests proposals for how to allocate funds for the upcoming academic year. Funds raised during our fall fundraiser and our auction directly fund curriculum enrichment programs like Art, Music, and Drama, service learning projects like Planting the Seeds & TOPICS, classroom funds for teachers, and community building programs like the Ice Cream Social and Taste of TOPS.

    If you have an idea for a new program for the 2019-2020 school year and would like to submit a proposal, please email rfp@topsk8.org ASAP to request more information. All RFPs (on-going and new) are due Friday, March 8, 2019. Questions? Contact rfp@topsk8.org.

    • Software Administrator (2020 Trainee)
