Not Attending Seattle Public School Next Year?

If your student is moving out of district next year or going to a private school, please make sure let the district know ASAP. We know it’s hard to make that final decision to give up your place at TOPS, but school administration really needs an accurate student count to plan for the 2019-2020 school year. To drop your student from TOPS:Fill out Not Attending for 2019-2020 form online. Note: You do not need to fill out this form if your child is enrolled in another Seattle Public School for the 2019-2020 school year.

    Form can be found at

Purchase a book from the Library’s Wish List!

Make a visible contribution to TOPS by purchasing a book off the Wish List curated by Librarian Nick! Go to or searching Amazon Lists for ‘Friends of TOPS’. Prefer to buy your books from a local bookstore rather than Amazon? Great! Browse the list, make your purchase, and click the “Buying this gift elsewhere?” link in Amazon. (Please note: Hardcover books are always preferred as passing through many hands is hard on books.)

    Important: Keeping TOPS Students Healthy!

Is my child too sick to go to school? Fever? Rash? Diarrhea? Knowing when to keep ill students at home, encouraging frequent hand washing, and covering coughs protects everyone, including those with fragile immune systems. See more in this flyer:

Don’t Forget Tdap Vaccine for 5th-8th Grade Students

This is a reminder of the required Tdap vaccination, which is given at age 11. Please note that the required vaccination is the Tdap: the DTaP, DTP. DT or Td vaccines DO NOT meet the state’s requirement. If your student is 11 years old and has not had this vaccine, please have them get the vaccine as soon as possible. Attention to this request may keep your child from receiving a Pre-Exclusion Notice for next school year.

Please ask your provider to enter the vaccination into the Washington State Immunization Information System (WAIIS). The Seattle School district is now using the Washington State Immunization Information System (WAIIS) for tracking student compliance of state required immunizations. As a parent you are able to sign up and access your child’s immunization status and print out a copy of their Certificate of Immunization Status when you need one for camps or sports. Go to:
