    Protecting Our Community from Measles

Measles is a serious disease that is very contagious. Please monitor your child for symptoms including: fever, diarrhea, coughing, runny nose, red and watery eyes, tiredness with a rash that begins on the face and spreads. For more information in multiple languages see:

The best protection against measles is the MMR vaccine, available from your healthcare provider, or at one of our 25 school-based health center sites for SPS enrolled students. If an SPS student contracts measles, the King County DoH has the authority to exclude the infected student, and students without immunizations from school. For questions about your child’s MMR vaccination status, contact your healthcare provider, or Health Services at 206-252-0750.

To drop your student from TOPS: Fill out Not Attending for 2019-2020 form online. Note: Do not fill out this form if your child is enrolled in another Seattle Public School for the 2019-2020 school year.
