Please let us know if there is a language other than English that you would
prefer when receiving school communications. You can do this by either calling the
school at
(206)252-3510, or emailing Vice Principal LaRosa at
aplarosa@seattleschools.org
Join the online directory
Join and update your contact information in the
online school directory. Please go to the website to get started:
https://topsk8.membershiptoolkit.com
Fill out the Volunteer Interest Survey
When you log into the directory,
take a moment to fill out the Volunteer Interest Survey. The Volunteer Coordinators
will get in touch with you if there is an opportunity that matches your interests.
Note: There are events/positions listed that may not be available this year due to
the virtual school format.
Join your grade band email group
This is the easiest way to receive up-to-
date information about what is going on in your student’s class, in the school, and to
get class specific needs or notes from your grade band teachers. To join, please
email the Volunteer Coordinators at volunteer@topsk8.org with: your name, and
your student's name and grade.
Join the Parents of Color Caucus
If you are a parent or caregiver of color,
you can join the POCC. The POCC serves to strengthen the voices and participation of
students and families of color within the school. It exercises influence in developing
school policies, practices and procedures affecting students of color through
representation on the Executive Site Council, the Building Leadership Team, and by
working in tandem with the Racial Equity Team. Ask to join at https://groups.google.com/a/topsk8.org/g/pocc.
Join TOPS Site Council
TOPS Site Council is similar to a PTA. It is made up
of parent representatives, school staff, and an Eastlake community representative.
Site Council meetings are open to all parents and caregivers of TOPS students. You
can join meetings via Zoom, phone, or give feedback by emailing your grade band
representative.
The next Site Council meeting is Wednesday, September 16th 6pm-
7:30pm. Your grade band representative will email the Zoom link. All meetings
provide ASL interpreters. Other language interpreters are available with advanced
notice.
If you have questions about Site Council or are interested in joining, please
email the Site Council Secretary at secretary@topsk8.org
Volunteers are the reason TOPS has so many fantastic programs, activities and
strong classroom support! Volunteering helps build a sense of community and is a
great way to get to know the families, teachers and staff at TOPS. We hope you will
find a way to get involved at TOPS this year that feels valuable to you and your
family.
If you have any questions, please contact us at volunteer@topsk8.org
Thank you!
