Welcome to Art at TOPS!
At TOPS, we are dedicated to providing a quality arts program for our students from kindergarten through eighth grade. Each course is filled with projects and activities that focus on the elements and principles of art, as well as the concepts of art criticism, art history, and studio production. Our students are able to explore a variety of mediums and learn techniques in drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture and ceramics. The curriculum incorporates state and national arts standards including: Creating, Connecting, Responding and Presenting as components essential to the visual arts. Our program develops students’ 21st century skills and is culturally responsive giving all students equitable access to arts education.
